Andre Noujaim holds a rank of 4th Dan (Yondan-with a Sensei Title) in Kyokushin Karate.
He began his journey in Beirut, Lebanon, in 1988, where he trained in kickboxing and grappling under coach Fadi Hakim.
In 1989, he transitioned to the Nakouzi Gym to study Kyokushin Karate under Sensei Issam Al-Ayach, then a 4th Dan. Following Sensei Issam's relocation to Kuwait around 1992, he continued his training with Senpai Nasri Hakim, then a 2nd Dan, successfully achieving his Shodan (1st Dan) in 1994.
That same year (1994), he migrated to Sydney, Australia, where he trained at various martial arts gyms, including a period under the legendary Sifu Cheuk-Fai in Chinatown.
In 2006, he joined the International Federation of Karate (IFK), which reignited his focus on Kyokushin Karate. He became gradually more involved in judging and refereeing at Kyokushin tournaments and other martial arts events.
In April 2007, he founded the Dulwich Hill Kyokushin Karate Dojo, where he continues to teach and engage with the local communities.
In 2010, he achieved his 2nd Dan (Nidan) under the IFK Australia.
In 2017, he joined forces with Kancho Doug Turnbull and formed KIKO (Kyokushin International Karate Organisation). He was appointed KIKO’s Vice President and national Coach. Later this year, he achieved his 3rd Dan (Sandan).
In 2020, he achieved his 4th Dan (Yondan) under the guidance of Kancho Doug, the President of KIKO, marking another step in his ongoing journey.
Personal motto: "Be relentless in becoming your best self, not someone else’s idea of success."
